Title PTAG Presents"The Fabulous Fable Factory" & "Treasure Island"

It had been a long while since PTAG has just done theatre for the kids! As a way of introducing theatre to the younger crowd and maybe getting a few to join us on stage the Guild has prepared to fun stories to appeal to them. We hope that parents and grandparents will bring out the youngsters for an evening or matinee of animals & pirates with the two shows we stage for our first production of 2019.

Act I is The Fabulous Fable Factory - This delightful story of an inquisitive youngster who discovers an old factory operated by Mrs. Aesop and an assembly line of seven fablemakers. Some of Aesop's best-known fables including The Ant and the Grasshopper, The Lion and the Mouse, The Tortoise and the Hare and others are enacted as the young girl surprises everyone, including herself, with his moral-making ability. This charming play is a director's delight as it presents ensemble performing at its best. The cast is as follows: Margo - Harmony Wilbur; Mrs. Aesop - Lisa Doty; Fable Makers - Tim Cooper, Deb Dinsmore, Jef Dinsmore, Kathy Dinsmore, Katelyn Dotts, Krystol Elkin & Kelly Wilbur.

The audience gets a lighthearted look at some of the ancient Greek fables complete with their simple moral lesson intact - it wouldn't be a Fable without them. The Fable Makers don all sorts of costumes and various odd props to bring the characters to life for great fun for all.

Act II is Treasure Island - The magic of this play comes from the way the entire audience creates the storm at sea, a mosquito-infested jungle and a treasure cave filled with eerie ghosts. Five children become members of Long John's treacherous pirate gang while others join Captain Smollet's crew. The children team up with the fearsome Ben Bulba to help defeat Red the Pirate Queen and save Long John. The audience must decide whether to hang Long John or let him sail away forever to inhabit children's dreams. The cast is as follows: Jamie - Emily Wisnesky; Captain Smollet - Tim Cooper; Long John Silver - Jef Dinsmore; Red - Krystol Elkin; Crossbun - Kelly Wilbur; Ben Bulba - Deb Dinsmore.

Yes, it is the literary classic but it is simplified as a kid's romp through the adventurous & exciting world of pirates! The cast constantly interacts with the audience to help tell the tale of hunting for buried treasure & life aboard ship.

The show, produced with arrangements with Dramatic Publishing, is staged Friday & Saturday March 1 and 2 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 3 at 2:00pm. Tickets at the door or use Patron tickets. So, bring the children, sit down real close and be swept up in the fun of fables and pirates when PTAG presents The Fabulous Fable Factory and Treasure Island.
